Step back in time as we guide you through the history of the valley. From the early settlement of Fort Nez Perce, which eventually became know as Old Fort Walla Walla, to the Protestant missionaries who established the Whitman Mission, the area abounds with history and character (and characters, too!)

Pendleton
Dare to explore the forbidden opium dens and “cozy rooms” of Madame Stella’s brothel. Pendleton’s Underground is a maze of service tunnels built by the Chinese laborers in the early days of the city. Pendleton is also the home of the famous Pendleton Round-up and the Pendleton Woolen Mills. All in all, a much diversified little city that you can’t help but become enamored with.

Dayton
Indulge yourself with fine food, wine, and art in the friendly atmosphere of this historically restored downtown farming community. There are 117 buildings in Dayton on the National Register of Historic Places!

Palouse Falls
Traverse through the Walla Walla farm county toward the Snake River country where the Palouse river merges with the Snake River. Palouse Falls is an incredible sight and adjoins the ground where the 10,000 year old Marms Man was discovered.
